AIDS Walk Detroit 2018 – Construction Update & Virtual Walk Option

Due to construction in downtown Royal Oak, the 2018 AIDS Walk Detroit event, which was scheduled for September 16th at the Royal Oak Farmers Market has been canceled.

Partner organizations are still able to raise funds through the AIDS Walk Detroit website in support of their programs. If you would like to participate as a virtual walker and make a donation to a partner organization, you are welcome to register, donate and fundraise through October 31, 2018 at

AIDS Walk Detroit is focused on planning an exciting, updated event for 2019 that will include new features and a move into the City of Detroit. Please watch this site for updates and information.

Teams are a key component in the success of AIDS Walk Detroit.

A team can be comprised of as few as two team members and there’s no size limit to a team! So grab a friend, your family, or a neighbor and get started today!

Establishing a Walk team for your company, organization, school, congregation or group of friends and family will:

  • Build morale and camraderie.
  • Honor and support those affected by HIV/AIDS.
  • Educate the community and bring attention to the HIV epidemic in DC.
  • Provide exposure for your team to thousands of Walk participants.
  • Surely be a day of community and fun for all!
